Chris Hughton is set to be unveiled as Black Stars head coach before the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, according to the Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association, Henry Asante Twum.
Ghana will face Angola in a doubleheader on March, 23 with the second leg taking place four days later.
Hughton is expected to arrive in Ghana “next week” ahead of the official announcement.
The former Tottenham Hotspurs trainer was named as the Black Stars trainer by the country’s football governing body in February.
He replaced coach Otto Addo who resigned from the post at the 2022 World Cup where Ghana got ousted from the tournament in the group winning a game.
The Ghana Football Association maintained Didi Dramani and George Boateng as assistants for the Hughton.
