Chelsea are preparing a £55 million bid plus £5 million in add-ons to sign Ghanaian star Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United, as interest in the dynamic attacker heats up this summer.
Tottenham Hotspur have already seen an offer rejected, but Chelsea are now pushing ahead in the race to land the 23-year-old, who joined West Ham from Ajax in 2023 for £38 million.
Kudus has impressed in his debut Premier League season, scoring 19 goals in 80 appearances across all competitions.
His versatility and technical flair have caught the eye of new Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca, who praised the midfielder after Chelsea’s Club World Cup win over Palmeiras.
“He’s a West Ham player, so I can’t say much. But I’ve known Kudus since his Ajax days,” Maresca said.
West Ham reportedly want at least £60 million to consider a sale, and Chelsea’s proposal could meet that valuation.
