Ghanaian youngster Fatawu Ganiwu has been given the opportunity to trial with Chelsea, as reported by Rahman Osman.
The 16-year-old midfielder, who plays for the Ghana U-17 team, featured in a friendly match for Chelsea’s Under-18s against Sheffield United, playing 25 minutes.
Ganiwu has already gained international experience, having represented the Black Starlets at the UEFA Development tournament in Serbia last year.
His performances caught the attention of European clubs, including RB Salzburg and Bayern Munich, who have also considered him for trials.
Ganiwu now has the chance to impress Chelsea’s coaching staff and potentially secure a spot at the prestigious club.
