Chelsea Dig Deep: Semenyo Pursuit Abandoned as Blues Back Current Attackers

Chelsea have decided not to pursue Bournemouth striker Antoine Semenyo, despite making initial enquiries about the player.

The Blues, under Enzo Maresca, are confident in their existing attacking depth and quality, with options like Cole Palmer, Estevao Willian, and Pedro Neto.

Chelsea will continue to explore attacking signings in 2026 and prioritize rewarding their leading players, rather than rushing into a January deal.

Semenyo, who has an £65m release clause, has attracted interest from top Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Manchester City, and Liverpool.

This season, he’s scored eight goals in 16 Premier League appearances.

The decision reflects Chelsea’s strategic approach to squad building, focusing on long-term goals and nurturing current talent.
