Chelsea had previously been one of the clubs likely to recruit Cristiano Ronaldo after the World Cup. The London club would however have changed its mind on the Portuguese and would not consider signing him in the coming weeks.

Last summer, Chelsea had considered securing the services of Cristiano Ronaldo. However, it seems that Thomas Tuchel opposed his arrival (which would have contributed to his dismissal). Four months later, the Blues have reportedly changed their minds about the Portuguese. The London leaders would rather consider betting on young elements, in order to prepare for the future.

The Al-Nassr track denied

In his column CaughtOffside, the journalist Fabrizio Romano spoke about the situation of CR7 and the interest of Chelsea. The English club apparently no longer intend to make any effort to sign him: “For Chelsea I think Cristiano is still a good idea, he could give them an extra attacking weapon, great experience and a winning mentality, but their project is more focused on young players at the moment”he specified.

The tracks are dwindling concerning the future of Cristiano Ronaldo. If the Portuguese seemed to make Europe his priority, to compete in the Champions League, he could finally resolve to leave it. Hence, perhaps, the rumors circulating for a possible departure for Saudi Arabia. Al-Nassr would be willing to bet 500 million to sign him for two and a half years. The information related to his signature was however denied by a relative of the player: “Once again, that’s not true”he wrote on Twitter.

The name of Cristiano Ronaldo has also been associated with Real Madrid, to whom he would have offered his services, and with Inter Miami, in MLS. Very insistent, David Beckham’s club seems determined to recover him in the coming months.
