Hearts of Oak Legend Charles Taylor has called on the Ghana Football Association to give Black Stars coach Chris Hughton a long-term contract.
Hughton was given 21 months following the resignation of Otto Addo after Ghana’s 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign.
In essence, the 64-year-old will oversee one major tournament as Black Stars coach – 2024 Africa Cup of Nations.
“Chris Hughton must be given a long-term project because he is very knowledgeable. When you have good coaches like Chris, it motivates the players,” Taylor stated.
Hughton began his Black Stars journey last month, winning his debut game against Angola in the Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] qualifier before holding the Palancas Negras in the reverse leg in Luanda to a 1-1 drawn game.
His next game is against Central African Republic in June.
