The Great Olympics coach has invited 35 players to begin camping on Monday, May 30, 2022 at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence.
Ghana have drawn Benin in the preliminary stages of the qualifiers as the quest for a return to the tournament reserved for players based on the continent begins.
The West Africa giants, two times finalist have not been at the tournament in the last three editions.
The Black Stars B will play Benin in the preliminary stage of the qualifiers in search of a ticket to the biennial competition scheduled for Algeria in January 2023.
Black Stars B will host Benin in the first leg on the weekend of July 22-24 with the return leg slated for July 29-31, 2022.
“I thank God for the draw. By God’s grace, we will play Benin. We are not afraid but all we need to do is to start camping next week to prepare ourselves. I’ve called about 35 players for the camping and it is a provisional squad. Your performance will determine whether you will stay or omitted for someone to join. We are not afraid,” Annor Walker told Ghanasportspage.com.
“We will start our camping and that’s where I will see my squad and then build the team for the tournament.
“Honestly, those, I’ve invited will start camping this Monday. Because of the ongoing league, they will come to every Monday and train until Thursday before I will release them for their various clubs for the league matches. Your performance will determine whether you have to come back or not so that a different player can be added.”
