Nigeria head coach Salifu Yusuf believes his side is capable of beating Ghana convincingly at home in the Totalenergies Championship of African Nations (CHAN) second-leg qualifier.
The Black Galaxies attained a 2-0 win against the Super Eagles team B on Sunday at the Cape Coast stadium.
The return leg will be held in Nigeria and Salifu Yusuf has confident his team can overturn the result and ultimately secure the ticket to the championship.
“We have learnt from our mistakes and want to assure Nigerians that convincing victory is achievable in Abuja this weekend if my players go according to the new match plans, we have in stock for our opponents.” Salisu Yusuf told NFF TV
“Football is a game of 90 minutes and we must look to overturn the two goals we conceded in Cape Coast.” he added
The second leg has been scheduled to kick-off on September 3 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja
Coach Annor Walker and his charges will arrive in Nigeria on Friday to continue their preparations for the encounter.
