Former Deputy Sports Minister, Vincent Asamoah, has labelled coach Annor Walker’s tactics as “outmoded” following Black Galaxies disappointing exit from the 2022 African Nations Championship in Algeria.

Ghana was ousted from the ongoing CHAN following a 2-0 defeat to Niger on Saturday in the quarter-finals.

It is a stepback from their last participation eight years ago where the team reached the finals and eventually lost to Libya on penalties.

Speaking on Akoma FM, Asamoah said: “It’s very embarrassing and shameful that Niger will defeat Ghana in a Caf competition.

“Our coach (Annor Walker) is outmoded with tactics, he couldn’t even vary his tactics after the first half, I was also surprised that Prosper Ogum too didn’t help to change matters. Our technical team was bad.”

The Black Galaxies contingent arrived in the country on Tuesday evening as the players look to rest and later join their respective clubs.
