Team Ghana will be heading to Algeria for the 2022 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) ten days prior to the tournament kickoff.
After arriving in Egypt on Christmas Eve, the Black Galaxies have been preparing intensively for their fourth CHAN campaign.
The team will now depart Cairo for Constantine on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 (where they will play their Group C matches).
During this Egypt camp, coach Annor Walker’s men enjoyed wins in two test matches – first defeating Egypt’s U-20s at Cairo Stadium last Tuesday.

And on Saturday, they rallied from behind to beat local giants Al Ahly 3-1 at Mokhtar El-Tetsh Stadium.

Following the arrival of Seidu Suraj and Maxwell Arthur as replacements for Bright Adjei and Evans Osei Wusu, 25 players are currently in camp. This means two may have to be dropped to complete the final squad for the tournament.

After settling down in Algeria, the Black Galaxies will have another 11 days to fine-tune until the kickoff of their opening match against Madagascar at 19:00 GMT on January 15. Games against Sudan and defending champions Morocco will follow at four-day intervals to complete the group-stage campaign.
