Champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies defeated Northern Ladies 3:0 to maintain their place at the top of the table in the Northern Zone. Tracy Twum and Ophelia Serwaa Amponsah who are in an amazing form were unplayable on the day as they combined effectively in attack for the hosts. After a dominant play in the early exchanges, it wasn’t surprising that Ampem Darkoa Ladies got the lead in the 7th minute through Tracy Twum. Ophelia Serwaa Amponsah scored the second goal right at the end of the first half to give her side a 2 goal advantage. Northern Ladies started the second half as the better side but their hopes were dashed in the 81st minute after Ophelia Serwaa Amponsah smashed in an inswinger to make it 3-0 for Ampem Darkoa Ladies.

Still in the Northern Zone, PearPia Ladies were big winners on Matchday 12 following a five star performance on Saturday. Five first half goals from Iddi Sherifa, Ibrahim Barikisu and Samira Ayingura Akadigere, ensured that they recorded a 5-0 win over Fosu Royal Ladies to breathe life into their survival hopes.

Iddi Sherifa opened the scoring in the 4th minute and added the second goal three minutes later. Ibrahim Barikisu scored in the 23rd minute to take the game beyond the visitors, before Gladys Djorka scored an own goal to make it 4-0 for the Tamale ladies. Samira Ayingura Akadigere added to the tally in the 39th minute to give PearlPia Ladies a commanding 5:0 lead.

Fosu Royal Ladies improved in the second half looking to fight back but the host denied them any goal scoring opportunity as they held on to win 5-0.
