Real Betis are dreaming big in La Liga this season. Manuel Pellegrini’s charges are third in the league standings and just three points off first-place Real Madrid.

La Liga is experiencing a shake-up in the early part of the campaign and Real Betis are aiming to disrupt the status quo of the Spanish top flight. On Sunday, Betis will visit the Estadio Balaidos to play Celta Vigo.

Celta Vigo limp into the weekend following back-to-back losses. The Sky Blues are 13th in the standings with seven points from six fixtures. Three points currently separate Celta Vigo from the bottom three.

It is early in La Liga and there is hope that Celta can move away from the relegation zone.

Betis posted a record of 3W-2D-1L against Celta Vigo in the teams’ last six head-to-head encounters.

However, Celta Vigo took four points from six off Real Betis last season. The Sky Blues won 2-0 in Seville before picking up a nil-nil home draw with Betis.

Los Verdiblancos are in fantastic form ahead of round No. 7. Betis took 15 points from the opening 18 available to them. Their only defeat was against Real Madrid, 2-1, on matchday No. 4.

Betis’ defence has been brilliant conceding just four times. The attack is playing well with 10 goals scored in six games.

Celta Vigo were outscored 13-8 in their opening six games of the La Liga season. Celta Vigo were beaten 4-1 by Atletico Madrid and 3-0 by Valencia in their last two matches in La Liga.

The Sky Blues have played decently at home picking up four points from the opening nine on offer at Balaidos. They scored six times and conceded six goals across their three games at home.

Real Betis have played just twice on the road thus far and took three points from six away from the Estadio Benito Villamarin. Betis scored three times and conceded three times in their two away games.

Celta manager Eduardo Coudet will be without midfielder Franco Cervi due to a red-card suspension. Forward Goncalo Paciencia is a doubt due to a hamstring strain.

Real Betis manager Pellegrini could be without defender Victor Ruiz Torre. He has a sprained ankle and may not be fit.

Forward Juanmi Jimenez is ruled out with an ankle injury and won’t return until January. Midfielder Victor Camarasa remains a doubt to make the squad.

Betis struggled against Celta Vigo last season, but this time around, they should pick up an away win. Los Verdiblancos will remain in the top three with a 2-1 win versus Celta Vigo away.
