CD Tenerife vs SD Huesca – 19/11/2022

Tenerife and Huesca Set to Draw in the Segunda Division

2084

Two sides separated by seven places in the league table of the Segunda Division will battle here as Huesca travels to the Estadio Heliodoro Rodríguez López where 15th-placed CD Tenerife awaits them.

It’s been a topsy-turvy time for both of these clubs in the second tier of Spanish football this season, with neither side really able to put together a positive run of wins at all this campaign.

Huesca have won six games already from 15 attempts in the Segunda Division, but with them also scoring only 14 goals so far, they are the lowest-scoring side in the top 12 and have great room for improvement in this area.

They have only let in 10 goals, however, which does put them as one of the best defensive sides in the league. On the other hand, in losing to Juventud Torremolinos on penalties in the recent Copa del Rey battle, they are now out of the competition in the first round.

Last time out in the league, however, Huesca managed to defeat Villarreal B 1-0, which also came not too long after registering a positive win over Las Palmas as well, as they sit second. A loss to Ponferradina does put them with just two wins in the past five games in the league, however.

As for Tenerife, while Huesca struggled and were knocked out of the Copa del Rey, they managed to get past Lealtad with relative ease, as Alassan Gutierrez scored after just three minutes before a penalty from Eladio Zorrilla Jimenez six minutes from time sealed the deal.

Tenerife did, however, see Borja Garces sent off in the dying seconds of their recent win over Burgos and he is now set to miss this game. That win did still move them away from the relegation zone by a healthy four points, with the club also managing to move above Real Zaragoza and Oviedo too.

The recent victory was just Tenerife’s fourth of the season, however, with them now letting in 16 goals. On the other hand, despite Huesca sitting seven places above them in the table, the club have scored the same amount of goals.

Both clubs have a combined record of 10 draws from 30 games already in the league and Forebet predicts a close game here and one that will end in a draw. Forebet also predicts under 2.5 goals.
