Cameroon secured a spot in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) quarter-finals with a 2-1 win over South Africa.
Goals from Junior Tchamadeu and Christian Kofane sent the Indomitable Lions into the last eight, where they’ll face hosts Morocco.
Tchamadeu opened the scoring in the 34th minute, capitalizing on a corner kick.
Kofane doubled the lead two minutes into the second half, heading home a cross from Mahamadou Nagida.
South Africa pulled one back through Evidence Makgopa in the 88th minute, but Cameroon held on for the win.
The victory marks a successful AFCON campaign for Cameroon, who failed to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
Morocco, meanwhile, secured their quarter-final spot with a 1-0 win over Tanzania, thanks to a Brahim Diaz goal.
