CAF Women’s Champions League: Ampem Darkoa secure comeback win against ASFAR

Ghanaian Champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies commenced their CAF Women’s Champions League on a good note with a comeback win against ASFAR in Ivory Coast on Monday.

Ampem Darkoa secured a 2-1 win against their Moroccan opponents in match day one.

ASFAR broke the deadlock of the game thanks to Najat Badri who capitalized on a defensive lapse to tap the ball into the net, setting the tone with the first goal of the game to end the first half of the game.

After the halftime break, Ampem Darkoa reorganize their house knocking on the doors of their Moroccan opponent.

Comfort Yeboah played a pivotal role in the comeback with a bullet strike to equalize before delivering a cross from the right wing that was inadvertently deflected into the net for an own goal, to win the match for Ampem Darkoa.

The win sees the Ghanaian side with 3 points in Group B.

Ampem Darkoa next game will be against AS Mande from Mali.
