The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Tunisian referee Dorsaf Ganouati to officiate Ghana’s decisive Group C encounter against Tanzania in the ongoing 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
Ganouati will be supported by assistant referees Houda Afine of Tunisia and Mmahawa Kourouma from Guinea, with Algerian Ghada Mehat serving as fourth official.
The match, which is set for Monday, July 14, 2025, at 19:00 GMT, will be staged at the Stade Municipal de Berkane.
This fixture is crucial for the Black Queens, who sit bottom of Group C with just one point after a 2-0 defeat to South Africa and a 1-1 draw against Mali.
To stand any chance of progressing to the quarterfinals, Ghana must beat Tanzania.
It’s a defining moment for Kim Björkegren’s side, whose performances have shown promise but lacked clinical finishing in front of goal.
The Black Queens are chasing a return to the WAFCON knockout stage after recent disappointments and are counting on key players like Alice Kusi and Princella Adubea to deliver.
