CAF CL: This our time to make history- Asante Kotoko captain Richard Boadu

Asante Kotoko captain Richard Boadu has urged him teammates to fight for a place in history ahead of their CAF Champions League preliminary round second leg on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors will host RC Kadiogo at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

The Ghana Premier League champions recorded a 1-0 win over the Burkinabe outfit in Cotonou last weekend.

Isaac Oppong’s late goal was enough to hand Kotoko a slim first leg advantage.

Asante Kotoko are aiming to reach the group stages of the CAF Champions League for the first time in 16 years.

Speaking at the pre-match conference, Richard Boadu disclosed the target set for the team this season.

“We all read about the history , however, this is our time to also make history and for us as players, our immediate target is to reach the group stage. The Coach has been fantastic and he relates very well with us.”

Meanwhile, the management of Kotoko has promised to reward each player $3000 if they manage to qualify.
