CAF appoint Ivorian referee who officiated Hearts of Oak vs CI Kamsar game for Kotoko vs Kadiogo Champions League clash —

CAF have appointed Patrick Tanguy Jean Phillipe Vlei, the Ivorian referee who handled Hearts of Oak’s CAF Champions League clash against CI Kamsar last season, to officiate Asante Kotoko’s game with Rail Club du Kadiogo in the Champions League.

Kotoko face Kadiogo on Friday, September 9, 2022 at the Stade de Yamoussoukro in Yamoussoukro – the de jure capital of the Ivory Coast.

He will be assisted by compatriots Koabenan Prosper Adiouman and Kalidou Bamba with Kouassi Frederic Francois Biro.

Tanguy was the center referee when Hearts of Oak defeated Kamsar 2-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium to advance to the next stage of the competition last season.

Kotoko new coach Seydou Zerbo will not be able to count on striker Franck Mbella Etouga (due to injury) for the game as he plays his maiden competitive games against familiar faces from his native Burkina Faso.
