Villarreall have had a solid start to the season in 2022/23 under Unai Emery once again and they will head to the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla looking to get back in the win column after two winless games keeps them in sixth with Cadiz struggling down in 19th.
In fact, Cadiz’s form has been so poor this season that the only thing stopping them from sitting bottom of the table right now is a win they have that Elche don’t.

At the same time, however, they have let in two fewer goals than the winless Elche and now sit with barely anything to shout about in the league right now.
Cadiz have let in 14 goals so far, but with a victory over Real Valladolid in the last game, they are currently on a much better form path than Villarreal, despite 13 places separating the two heading into this one.
Alvaro Negredo was the hero for Cadiz that day, as his goal came with just seconds to go away from home and it came from what was the club’s only shot on target that day.
Prior to this, the 19th-placed side were thrashed in their past three games, as Barcelona beat them 4-0 at home, Celta Vigo 3-0 away from home, just prior to another 4-0 thrashing on home soil again to Athletic Club.
Cadiz have also lost to Atletico Madrid 4-1 in preseason, meaning the club have technically lost eight of their past nine games and won only one of those with no draws coming in this time.
As for Villarreal, it’s been a tremendous start to the season for them once again with Unai Emery. They are, however, winless in their past two league games and have even struggled to get two wins under their belts in the Europa Conference League.
Lech Poznan were up first for them and Villarreal had to fight back on home turf to claim all three points against the Polish side, before beating Beer-Sheva 2-1 by a narrow margin.
Sevilla also drew with them 1-1 not long after a 1-0 victory for Real Betis over Villarreal. Last season’s Champions League semi-finalists did, however, hammer Elche 4-0 just before this run which will read well for fans heading into this one with Elche only behind Cadiz by two points
Forebet predicts a relatively comfortable win here for Emery’s side with Villarreal expected to beat Cadiz and see under 2.5 goals in the game.
