CK Akonnor, the newly appointed head coach of Gor Mahia FC, has outlined his objectives for the team.
Akonnor, who joins the Kenyan side on a two-year deal, emphasized the importance of building strong team cohesion.
“As for me, first of all, it is the chemistry of the players, strengthening the chemistry within the players,” he said.
“They need to have that understanding, that love, that passion, that they will play together no matter what it is.”
He also stressed the need for tactical awareness, stating that “every game will not be the same, so we need to understand tactical awareness of what we want to do.”
Akonnor noted that flexibility is key, particularly in Africa, where playing conditions can vary.
“This is Africa, and sometimes you go to a place where the field doesn’t favor you, so you need to adjust your style of play,” he added.
