Bukayo Saka injury update

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has given a positive injury update on Bukayo Saka and Takehiro Tomiyasu following the Gunners’ 2-1 win at West Ham on Sunday evening.

The pair was withdrawn in the closing stages of the match at the London Stadium with possible injuries.

Speaking after the clash, Arteta assured the Gunners’ fans the injuries were not serious, further adding they should be okay and probably ready for their next assignment.

The Spaniard also gave an update on Ben White, who missed the London derby.

“Ben got injured against Manchester United,” he said. “He felt a muscular problem and we checked him, and we will have to access him in the next few days to see how he is.

“Bukayo was fine, he was really fatigued and he has been through a little injury as well. Tomiyasu has just that he had been out for so long and could not continue.

“No, hopefully, he’s fine,” he responded to the question on whether he was concerned with Tomiyasu’s injury.

Goals from Rob Holding and Gabriel were enough to give the Gunners the win, which pushed them into the top four.
