The Ghanaian midfielder played over 30 games for the club last season and experts to be in the thick of things when they go in search of a fifth Serie A title and Champions League success next term. Jose Mourinho’s side have strengthened with the arrival of former Barcelona midfielder Thiago Motta who like Muntari can play in both the center of midfield and on the left. Yet the Ghanaian spikes talk of a competition for places and if confident when it gets to the crunch he will be actively involved. “I don’t get afraid when I see top players,” he told KickOffGhana.com. “I have to show what I have got and then the coach will decide. I will give the others respect but will go in and train well and then the coach will decide and field who he wants.” For Muntari though there are bigger priorities than who gets to play. “I will try to give my 100 per cent but I don’t think about someone coming to take my position. All that matters is that we keep on wining and getting more competition.” Muntari is with his Inter team mates on a pre-season training tour of Los Angeles and will play Chelsea next week as part of a four-team tournament.
