Brighton and Hove Albion’s manager, Roberto De Zerbi, has discussed the future of Ghanaian player Tariq Lamptey at the club.
Despite recovering from injuries that sidelined him last season, Lamptey hasn’t played this season. De Zerbi emphasized Lamptey’s importance and ruled out a potential departure, stating that he’s expected to regain his best form in the coming weeks.
The Italian manager mentioned that Lamptey will be ready for the demanding schedule of three games per week.
“[Tariq Lamptey] can reach the best physical condition before the three games per week,” the Italian boss said.
“When we start to play three games per week, we will need everybody.”
Lamptey has also been absent from the Black Stars since the 2022 FIFA World Cup and missed recent Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Madagascar.
