Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Fabian Hürzeler has expressed his excitement after Tariq Lamptey signed a one-year contract extension with the Premier League side.
The Ghanaian right-back will now remain at the club until the summer of 2026, despite an injury-hit season that limited his game time.
Lamptey made 15 Premier League appearances this term, scoring twice and assisting twice.
In all competitions, he featured 20 times and contributed five goals.
“We’re delighted Tariq is staying with us,” Hürzeler said.
“He wants to help the team achieve our targets and gives us great options in wide areas. We are looking forward to Tariq being part of our journey next season.”
Lamptey has been with Brighton since 2020, when he joined from Chelsea.
