Dutch-Ghanaian striker Brian Brobbey has extended appreciation to outgoing Ajax manager Erik Ten Hag for the role played in his development.
The talented striker is one of the teenagers given a chance to play for the senior team under the manager who has agreed to become the new manager for Manchester United.
Speaking to Het Parool after the weekend’s game against NEC, Brian Brobbey has indicated that he is happy for Erik Ten Hag on his move to the English Premier League.
“I’m good at Ajax. I can still learn a lot, especially if we continue to play in the Champions League.
“He deserved it [the United job]. Ten Hag has been very important to me personally,” Brian Brobbey said.
The Ghanaian striker continued, “Under him I became the footballer, the man I am today. The coach talked to me a lot. He’s been very critical, in a good, constructive way. I won’t forget that anytime soon.”
Erik Ten Hag will officially take charge of Manchester United in the summer.
