The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has emerged victorious in the case against AshantiGold SC at the Human Rights High Court.
The GFA had demoted AshantiGold from the Ghanaian top flight to division two, after alleged match-fixing scandal involving Inter Allies two seasons ago.
Unwilling to accept the demotion, AshantiGold took the case to court, resulting in their expulsion from GFA-organized competitions.
The Accra Human Rights High Court has ruled in favor of the GFA, dismissing AshantiGold’s case.
The court has ordered AshantiGold to pay a fine to the Ghana Football Association, according to information gathered by Kickoffghana.com.
As a consequence of the judgment, the Obuasi-based club will remain suspended under the Ghana Football Association until further notice.
