Brandon Thomas-Asante’s goal against Stoke City has been named the Sky Bet Championship November Goal of the Month.
From within the penalty area, the striker delivered an amazing bicycle kick over the head of Potters keeper Jack Bonham and into the back of the net – Albion’s second goal in their 2-0 win at The Hawthorns.
He beat off competition from Manuel Benson (Burnley), Josh Ruffles (Huddersfield Town), and Riley McGree (Middlesbrough).
Brandon earned the top award following an online poll paired with the selections of a judging panel that included Sky Sports’ EFL experts Don Goodman and David Prutton.
Thomas-Asante signed a three-year deal with West Bromwich Albion on August 31, 2022, for a fee rumoured to be in the region of £300,000, rejecting a transfer to Birmingham City.
The 24-year-old has made 13 appearances and scored three goals in the English Championship this season.
West Brom is 16th on the league table with 29 points after 22 games.
