English Premier League side Bournemouth have entered the race for the signature of Ghanaian defender Abdul Mumin Suleman.
The 24-year-old was on the verge of joining Angers in France, but interest from the Cherries has stalled the move with the former Nordsjaelland player considering a switch to England.
The Right to Dream Academy graduate has been in talks with Angers with an initial fee of 3 million Euros agreed between the French club and Vitoria Guimaraes.
However, Bournemouth are preparing an improved offer for the highly-rated centre-back.
Abdul Mumin moved to Portugal from FC Nordsjaelland, where he made 47 appearances in the Danish Super Liga.
He is a key member of Guimaraes’ first team, making 61 appearances since joining from the Danish outfit.
Abdul Mumin started his football at the famous Right to Dream Academy in Ghana.
He was part of Ghana’s team at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations and he is yet to make his debut for the Black Stars.
