The maiden edition of the Kofi Adams Foundation (KAF) Community Football Championship has ended on a high note, underlining the growing influence of sport as a tool for grassroots development in Buem.
Staged as part of the Buem Experience Festival, the tournament brought together young talents from eight zones, with competitive preliminaries running from December 10, 2025.
Bodada Zone emerged champions, while Nsuta Zone and Kute Zone settled for second and third positions respectively.
Beyond the final standings, the competition stood out for its discipline, organization, and the quality of football on display.
One of the tournament’s biggest highlights was the identification of seven outstanding players by a technical team made up of experienced scouts and coaches.
These selected players are now being considered for trials, academy placements, and long-term development pathways.
Several high-profile sports administrators and former internationals were present, lending further credibility to the championship.
The event has quickly established itself as a flagship feature of the Buem Experience Festival, blending football with culture, recreation, and youth empowerment.
