Ghanaian midfielder Elisha Owusu has expressed his determination to rejoin the Black Stars for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
After being sidelined due to injury and missing recent call-ups, Owusu is committed to earning his place back in the team.
“I want to be in the team [for the World Cup Qualifiers]. I will do my maximum to be in the team,” he told Flashscore.
Currently, Ghana tops Group I with 15 points from six matches, ahead of Comoros and Madagascar.
The team is in a strong position as the qualification process enters its final stages. Ghana’s upcoming fixtures in September will be crucial in securing their spot at the 2026 World Cup.
The Black Stars will face Chad on September 4 in N’Djamena and host Mali on September 8 at the Accra Sports Stadium. These matches could be decisive in determining Ghana’s qualification fate.
