Ghanaian defender Tariq Lamptey has suffered a fresh injury while playing for Brighton and Holve Albion against Nottingham Forest in the English Premier League on Saturday.
The 23 year old who just recoverd from a lengthy injury layoff got injured again just 35 minutes into his first appearance since October.
Lamptey will undergo scans to determine the extent of the injury, especially with the Africa Cup of Nations 49 days away.
He had missed this month’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Madagascar and Comoros.
Since joined the Blue and White lads in 2020, he has played 73 games and scored a goal for Brighton.
