Former Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association, Ibrahim Saanie Daara is confident the Black Stars can pose some problems for Brazil in their high profile international friendly on Friday.

Ghana are scheduled to face the five-time world champions at Stade Oceane in Le Harve at 6:30pm.

Speaking in an interview during a visit to the Black Stars camp in France, Saanie Daara shared his thoughts ahead of the much anticipated clash against the South American giants.

“The current Ghana squad is filled with new crop of players that people don’t know much about, but I can tell you that they can positively surprise Ghanaians and even the world. People will definitely see Brazil as the favorites but if we manage to spring a surprise it’s going to be mayhem “ he told Joy Sports.

He however advised Ghanaians to measured in their expectations;

“Let’s just be humble as it is and be measured in our expectations and carry this feeling to the World Cup. The result should not matter so much for us. It is preparation match  to the World Cup. We should not expect too much, we should not put pressure on the team and I’m confident they will sell a wonderful game to Ghanaians and the world at large”

Ghana will play another friendly against Nicaragua in Spain on 26th September.

Coach Otto Addo and his technical team are expected to use the matches to access the strength of the squad as they build up to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
