As Ghana gears up for crucial FIFA World Cup qualifiers, the Black Stars, have commenced their preparations in Morocco for the team’s upcoming international friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda.
The camp in Marrakech serves as a pivotal moment for the Black Stars’ new technical team, who are keenly focused on using these friendlies to refine their strategies and team cohesion.
The ultimate aim is to ensure the team is put in shape for the June FIFA World Cup qualifiers doubleheader against Mali and Chad.
A group of thirteen players has already reported to the training camp. Among those who have joined are Joseph Wollacott, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Andre Ayew, Tariq Lamptey, and Antoine Semnyo, alongside late addition Kassim Nuhu. They are joined by Abdul Samed Salis, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Patrick Kpozo, Seidu Alidu, Ernest Nuamah, Jordan Ayew, and Denis Odoi, all eager to make their mark.
The Black Stars are scheduled to host the Super Eagles on March 23rd, followed by a match against the Cranes on March 27th, both to be held at the Grande Marrakech Stadium.
