Black Stars assistant trainer Mas-Ud Dramani has revealed that he has been in touch with the technical team of the Black Galaxies as the home-based stars continue their push to book a ticket to the 2023 CHAN tournament in Algeria.

Ghana are in firm control going into the second leg after dismissing Nigeria’s Super Eagles 2-0 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium last Sunday.

Prior to the Nigeria feat, the Galaxies had dispatched cross-border neighbours Benin in the first round of the qualifiers, beating the Squirrels home and away.

Ahead of the second leg in Abuja’s Moshood Abiola National Sports Stadium, the soft-spoken 56-year-old has revealed that he has been in constant touch with the technical handlers of the team.

“So far the team has carried itself very well. I was in Cape Coast to watch the team against Benin and I had talks with the coaches. We had good interactions before, during, and after the game,” he told Enoch Worlanyo on the SportsNite show on Asempa FM on Monday night.

Furthermore, he revealed that he engaged the team in the immediate aftermath of their win over Nigeria.

“After the game against Nigeria, I also had interactions with them. We are following trends and I know George [Boateng] is also watching. Progressively, it has been good so far. To win 2-0 against almighty Nigeria is a big plus. Let’s continue to give them out support. It shows the strength of our local league which is good. So we are following keenly,” he added.
