The Black Starlets are gearing up for the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations with a double-header of friendly matches against FC Samartex 1996 at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena in Samreboi, completing their first training session on Thursday.

The national U-17 side will face Samartex’s youth team on Saturday at 4 pm, followed by a match against the senior team on Sunday at the same time.

These matches are part of the team’s build-up programme, aimed at testing the squad’s depth, tactical discipline, and competitive edge.

The technical team is looking to fine-tune strategies and evaluate players as Ghana’s young talents prepare for the continental tournament.

The Black Starlets have already played several friendly matches, including encounters against True Democracy FC, Port City FC, Attram De Visser Academy, Semper Fi FC, and Golden Kick FC.

Coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum is using these matches to assess player combinations and sharpen match readiness.

The upcoming double-header is expected to provide valuable opportunities for the technical team to evaluate players and refine tactical plans.

Ghana’s U-17 team is aiming to make a strong statement at the tournament, determined to reclaim continental glory and reaffirm the country’s rich pedigree in youth football.

The Nsenkyire Sports Arena is buzzing with excitement as the Black Starlets prepare to take on FC Samartex 1996.

With the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations just around the corner, these friendly matches are crucial for Ghana’s young talents.
