Black Starlets name 32-man squad for next phase of U17 AFCON prep

Black Starlets head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum has named 32 players to return for the next phase of scouting after completing a nationwide screening exercise involving hundreds of young talents.

The selected players, drawn from five batches assessed across the country, will report to the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 16:00 GMT.

The extensive screening featured technical drills, physical tests, tactical sessions, and match simulations aimed at giving equal opportunity to emerging players while helping the technical team identify top prospects.

The upcoming Prampram camp will further trim the squad as Ghana prepares for the 2026 U17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The final group chosen from this stage will be merged with players who recently represented Ghana at the WAFU B U17 Championship in Ivory Coast, forming the core team for full residential camping.

The entire process reflects a renewed push to strengthen youth development and restore the Black Starlets to their traditional high standards.
