The Black Satellites, Ghana’s U-20 national team, are determined to win the WAFU B U20 Cup of Nations title with the tournament set go begin in July.
Assistant coach Fatawu Salifu stated that the team’s objective is to redeem their image after a setback in the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
“Ghana in any competition is expected to win in the end, so Ghanaians of course are expecting us to win now that it’s in Ghana,” Salifu said to GFA Media. “All they need to expect from us is good football and also in the end, we win the tournament,” he added.
Ghana will kick off their campaign against arch-rivals Nigeria on July 10 at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, followed by a match against Benin on July 16.
With only three teams in Group A, each team will play two matches.
The tournament will run from July 10 to 23, 2025, in Ghana.
