Their journey concluded in a 2-2 draw against hosts Egypt, following a painful 5-4 loss in the penalty shootout.
Ghana’s resilience was evident as they rallied from a two-goal deficit, with Aziz Issah scoring before halftime and Abdul Sulemana equalizing via a stoppage-time penalty.
Playing with ten men in extra time after Aaron Essel’s red card, the Black Satellites held firm but ultimately fell short in the shootout.
Under the guidance of coach Desmond Ofei, the Ghana’s U-20 team demonstrated a possession-based, and strong attacking style of play.
Their performance has reignited hope for the future of Ghana football at the youth level.
