Black Queens forward Princess Marfo has ended her stay with American club Bay FC after a year-and-a-half, mutually parting ways with the National Women’s Soccer League side.

The 21-year-old winger, who impressed for Ghana at last month’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, made just nine appearances for Bay this season.

A graduate of the Right to Dream Academy, Marfo joined the California-based outfit from FC Nordsjaelland in January 2024 after a breakout spell in the Danish league.

Bay FC confirmed her exit in a statement: “Bay FC and Princess Marfo have mutually agreed to terminate her contract. We wish her the best in her future!”

Marfo also penned a farewell message to the fans, writing: “I am sorry I couldn’t last to make more memories with you all. I’m sincerely grateful for everything.”

Having featured in four matches at WAFCON as Ghana clinched bronze, Marfo is now weighing her next career move after her American adventure.
