Ghana’s Black Queens have officially moved camp from Benslimane to Siaïda, where they’ll be based for the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
The team wrapped up their pre-tournament schedule with a 3-1 defeat to rivals Nigeria in their final preparatory friendly on Sunday.
Over the past two weeks, the squad focused on tactical fine-tuning and fitness, playing three test matches as they build momentum ahead of their return to the continental stage.
Head coach Kim Björkegren and his technical staff are now fully focused on competition, with high hopes of leading the Queens to a strong showing after Ghana missed the last two WAFCON editions.
Ghana are placed in Group C, where they face a tough test against reigning champions South Africa, as well as Mali and Tanzania. The tournament runs from July 5 to July 26.
