The Black Queens head into Monday’s decisive Group C match against Tanzania with renewed belief, following a 2-0 loss to South Africa and a 1-1 draw with Mali at the 2025 WAFCON in Morocco.

Head coach Kim Björkegren admits the team was frustrated after missing out on a win against Mali but insists qualification is still within reach.
“We were disappointed with just one point, but now everything is in our own hands,” he said.

Despite their struggles in front of goal, Björkegren remains confident. “We had 13 shots against South Africa and 18 against Mali, but only one goal. We know we can score more ; players like Adubia and Alice Kusi can step up.”

“I still believe in the players. I’m sure we’re going to win this game and move on.”

The match kicks off at 19:00 GMT on Monday, July 14 at the Berkane Municipal Stadium. A win would send Ghana into the quarterfinals.
