The Black Queens of Ghana have slipped to 67th position globally and maintain 6th place in Africa, according to the latest FIFA Women’s World Rankings.
This decline comes despite Ghana finishing 3rd at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Since the last rankings update in June, the team participated in the WAFCON, beating only Tanzania in regulation time, albeit advancing to the last four of the competition through penalty shootout.
In Africa, Ghana remains fifth, with Nigeria, South Africa, Morocco, Zambia and Cameroon ranked above the Queens.
