The Black Queens of Ghana emerged victorious in their international friendly match against Senegal, winning 1-0.
Coach Kim Lars’ team showcased a strong performance, with a lineup featuring goalkeeper Cynthia Findib Konlan, captain Portia Boakye, Jennifer Cudjoe, Evelyn Badu, and Doris Boaduwaa.
The Black Queens dominated the first half, with Evelyn Badu scoring the winning goal in the 24th minute, heading in a cross from Princess Marfo.
Senegal pushed hard for an equalizer, with a notable attempt in the 71st minute. However, goalkeeper Cynthia Findib Konlan made a crucial save to maintain Ghana’s lead.
Both teams will face off again on Tuesday, April 8, at the same venue, Stade Lat-Dior.
The Black Queens will aim to complete a double win and continue their preparations for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
