The Black Princesses rallied from an early setback to secure a commanding 6-1 victory over Eswatini in the first leg of the third round of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
Ghana faced adversity in the 5th minute, conceding an early goal due to a defensive error. However, the team swiftly responded, with Mercy Attobra converting Beline Nyarko’s cross in the 10th minute to level the score.
Beline Nyarko, determined to make amends, capitalized on Hellen Alormenu’s exquisite assist, finding the net in the 28th minute to give the Black Princesses a 2-1 lead at halftime.
The second half saw the Black Princesses maintain dominance, with Wasiima Mohammed’s spectacular strike in the 49th minute extending their lead. Success Ameyaa orchestrated the 4th goal, setting up Sarah Nyarko in the 59th minute.
Mercy Attobra secured her brace in the closing minutes, sealing the impressive 6-1 triumph for the Black Princesses.
