Ghana’s Black Maidens will restart their journey in international football when the African qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup commence in April.
The upcoming campaign marks the team’s return to competitive action following a suspension that kept them out of recent tournaments.
Drawn against Togo, the Black Maidens must navigate a two-legged first-round tie to keep their World Cup hopes alive.
The qualifiers, which lead to the tournament in Morocco, were officially launched after the draw ceremony held in Rabat on Saturday.
Matches in the opening round are scheduled to run between April 10 and April 19, with the first legs taking place on April 10 and the return fixtures a week later.
Victory over Togo would see Nana Joe Adarkwa’s side advance to face either Liberia or Libya in the next round.
