Ghana have been handed a major boost following the return of star midfielder Thomas Partey to full fitness.

The 29 year old started for Arsenal FC in their 3-0 win away to Brentford on Sunday afternoon after missing the Gunners’ last four games due to injury.

He had been out with a thigh injury since reporting tightness while training before the Fulham match.

Partey didn’t miss a beat as he pulled the strings in midfield for 77 minutes to ensure Arsenal returned to the summit of the English Premier League.

The former Atletico Madrid star is part of Coach Otto Addo’s 29-man Black Stars squad for the upcoming friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua this month.

Ghana will lock horns with Seleçao on Friday, September 23, at Stade Oceane in Le Harve- France before taking on Nicaragua three days later at Estadio Francisco Artes Carrasco in Spain.

Both matches forms as part of the team’s preparations for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
