Ghana defender Daniel Amartey has been ruled out of the FIFA World Cup qualifier against Comoros after failing a last-minute fitness assessment.
The Turkey-based player sustained a suspected hamstring injury during the game against Madagascar on Friday, leading to his absence from training in Moroni on Sunday.
Despite inconclusive findings in the MRI scans, Amartey’s clinical recovery, closely monitored by the medical team, has been slower than anticipated.
As a result, he will not be available for the Black Stars in the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifier against Comoros.
Kasim Nuhu replaced the former Leicester City player, who initially started the opening game in Kumasi.
The match against Comoros is scheduled on Tuesday, November 21, at the Moroni Stadium, with kickoff set for 4 pm.
