Bibiani Gold Stars have confirmed new one-year contract extensions for midfielder Appiah McCarthy and winger Roland Frimpong ahead of the 2025/26 season.
McCarthy, who joined from Ashantigold in 2023, overcame a long injury layoff to feature in the final three games of the season, helping Gold Stars secure their first-ever Ghana Premier League title.
Despite spending most of the season on the sidelines, the club has rewarded the central midfielder’s resilience with a new deal that keeps him until 2026.
Frimpong, who also signed from Real Tamale United last July, played 26 matches in his debut season and was a key figure in Gold Stars’ title-winning campaign.
The club has now tied the winger down for another year as they prepare for both domestic and continental competition.
McCarthy and Frimpong will join the rest of the squad when pre-season begins later this month.
Gold Stars are also expected to compete in the CAF Champions League for the first time in their history.
