Chief Executive Officer of Bibiani Goldstars, Akwasi Adu, has challenged the club to secure at least one major trophy in the upcoming 2025/26 football season.
Following their historic Ghana Premier League title triumph, the Miners are set to make their debut appearance in the CAF Champions League. They will also compete in the Ghana FA Cup and aim to defend their league title in a packed domestic calendar.
Speaking to the team during preparations, Akwasi Adu urged the players to embrace the club’s growing ambition.
“We are interested in competing in the CAF Champions League, Ghana Premier League and the FA Cup. We are always a contender because we’ve been able to win a trophy. At least we should be able to win one of the three competitions next season,” he said. “You (players) must know you are here for a purpose.”
Goldstars are expected to learn their CAF Champions League preliminary round opponent on August 12, 2025, when the draw is held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Meanwhile, the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season is scheduled to kick off in September, with the team already in training as part of their pre-season preparations.
