Bibiani Gold Stars kicked off their 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League campaign in style with 2-1 win over Legon Cities at the Duns Park on Sunday.
Striker Samuel Atta Kumi gave the hosts an early lead, scoring just two minutes into the game.
Despite Legon Cities’ persistent attacks, Bibiani Gold Stars maintained their advantage until halftime.
However, Dennis Adoma equalized for the visitors two minutes into the second half with a stunning thunderbolt.
Bibiani Gold Stars regrouped and reclaimed the lead in the 72nd minute through Gideon Anaba’s goal.
This victory extends Bibiani Gold Stars’ unbeaten record against Legon Cities since their promotion in 2021.
Next, Bibiani Gold Stars will face Samatex FC, while Legon Cities will seek redemption against Medeama SC.
